Pretty much a similar routine but this time after the bungee warmup, I finished Max Abs and Cardio Circuits then ended with Nia youtube clips. Also in the middle did block one of Peak10 More Cardio Strength which was ok but had alot of moves I had to tweak.

Homophobia Rant

I just do not understand how homophobia is tolerated and promoted in this country. How can politicians, especially those aspiring to run for President be so openly biased? How can anyone involved in public speaking and public office be so biased? Publicly promoting hate and ignorance just shouldn't be tolerated. Teachers have learned that their personal beliefs shouldn't affect how they treat their students. Politicians need the same sensitivity training. You are being paid by the taxes of all citizens and should serve them equally. If you are unable to do that, find another career path.

EVERYONE in this country has the right to the pursuit of happiness.
If you do not want to marry somebody of the same gender, DON'T!
but
Do not deny this right to those who do.
Do not treat GLBT citizens as second class citizens.
Do not try to push your personal beliefs on to those who do not agree with them.
That is not the American way.
That is not the way human beings should treat one another.
Choose love and tolerance over hate and ignorance.
Make the world a better place for everyone.
Shame on those who use this irrational fear of homosexuality to hurt other human beings. Using taxes to pay public servants promoting hate really should become unconstitutional.

Loving Barefoot Dancer

Past two days, all I have done is about 15 minutes on the bungee to Bellicon online workouts. This morning after two stressful days thanks to Verizon's lack of communication and information about activating our HD set top box, I finally got a decent workout.

I warmed up with more Bellicon online workouts and did some kickboxing while holding light homemade XCO trainers then did half of Your Best Body Circuit and finished with a Barefoot Dancer. The whole time I was doing the Barefoot Dancer, I was smiling.

ETA: It is so reaffirming to see the judicial and legislature of states being in support of marriage equality. Cannot leave this civil right in the hands of people who cannot separate their personal religious beliefs from equal civil rights for all.

Happy Martin Luther King Day

Today being Martin Luther King Day, I am reminded of the inequalities in our government. Democracy though controlled by the majority is supposed to protect the civil rights of all minorities. It is also supposed to keep religion and civil rights separate. The Bible has not recognized men and women as equals and has justified slavery. It mentions same gender relationships in the same breath as eating lobster and shrimp. Gluttony is a definite sin in the Bible moreso than homosexuality. There was a time in our history when women couldn't vote. There was a time in our history where slavery was legal as well as in the Bible. There was a time in our history when Afro-Americans couldn't vote. During my lifetime, there were still states that did not recognize integrated marriages. Now there are only a handful of states that recognize same gender marriage.
Ironically, Homosexuals are the only minority that can be found among all races and religions. Even more ironic is that the Afro-America vote in CA for President Obama also caused a setback in marriage equality because of the ministers who set their flock against it. Recently in NY, the strongest opponent of marriage equality which passed thanks to the strong support from a Catholic governor was a Hispanic Catholic who was a Democrat. Now we have a Catholic governor in NJ who may veto gay marriage, even though obviously a glutton. People pick hypocritically whichever bible interpretations they prefer to believe in yet it is more a conscious choice of which church you go to and what food you eat than whom you love. It was even during my lifetime the US had its first Catholic President elected. As a woman, a Jew and the mother of a gay son, I have learned that minorities need to stick together to protect all of their rights from closed minded people affected by pulpit preachings. This is America and all tax payers should have the same right to the pursuit of happiness. How is it that so many other countries have advanced ahead of us when we are supposed to be the pinnacle of Democracy? I am still hoping that federal marriage equality will happen during my lifetime. Wouldn't mind seeing a woman President as well as long as she is capable.

Gay Marriage

In addition to my passion for penny slot machines and exercise, Gay Civil Rights are very important to me. True, our older son is gay so that may make me more concerned about his rights than the average straight citizen but I have always been concerned about the power of the majority affecting the rights of the minority, being a woman and born Jewish. Whether being gay is a choice, a result of a series of psychological events, genetic trait or whatever, pursuit of happiness in a democracy is a civil right and the rights of all minorities should be protected. Just recently, an ignorant teacher, employed by the high school in our town, voiced her personal homophobic beliefs publicly on Facebook which then went viral and became the headline story in tv news coverage and newspapers. It sickens me to think our town hired such a narrow minded person to teach!
Teachers are supposed to open minds, not shut them.
Teachers are supposed to help their students feel more confident about themselves and their future opportunities and help them gain the skills needed to succeed.
Teachers are supposed to Teach, not brainwash their students based on the teacher's own personal belief system or religion, especially in public schools.


Gay couples pay taxes and have the right to the pursuit of happiness and being equal under the law of this land.
What exactly are folks against Gay Marriage giving up by enabling Gay Marriage?


It seems as though most folks who want a ban on same gender marriage believe homosexuality is a choice. I cannot imagine anyone consciously choosing to be gay after witnessing our own son's coming out. Even if being gay were a choice, then why are these people against gay marriage when whom a person marries is a personal choice? How many married straight couples *chose* to love their spouse or had that choice made for them? Choice is Thinking and making a conscious decision. Feeling is a totally different process. Nobody should have the power to choose who another person can or cannot love and marry.

Most courts have judged that marriage is a civil right and religious views should not affect civil rights. What politicians need to remember when making laws as well as teachers when voicing their personal views is that they serve everyone, even the gay taxpayers, not just those who share their religious views.

It would be a huge boost to our economy to allow Gay Marriage.

Companies involved in weddings, the Travel industry and even Real Estate would prosper because gay couples could join their incomes for purchasing homes.

The argument that it would hurt businesses which would have to extend medical insurance to a gay spouse doesn't make sense. If that were so, then a company would be trying to hire just gay employees to keep their medical insurance costs down which would therefore, increase unemployment for straight folks!
Most gay couples would have less children to be covered by the employer's plan as well.

Since so many straight couples have made poor choices in spouses,

imagine the increase in business for divorce lawyers down the road!
