Jessica and Manuel

Really enjoyed Jessica's Cardio Abs this morning from the Sportskool VOD but with my own music as well as one of the German routines with Manuel (wellshapedtv), also with my own music. I decided to add an easy routine at the end of my workout session to extend the duration of my morning workout. Manuel is perfect for this.  I used mostly the bungee and stability ball for cardio and the purple Zumba sticks for weights.
Also I have added short walks outside weather permitting throughout the day with our fitness obsessed son.

Ordering that device from Amazon is working very well because my alignment seems much better this morning even though I haven't received it yet because of the holiday weekend LOL

Just as the car seems fine when you finally decide to take it to the mechanic or the tooth stops hurting just as you arrive at the dentist.

Manuel, Jessica, Debbie

This morning I warmed up on the bungee with Manuel then did a Jessica Smith Living Room routine with Fitstix and a heavier Zumba stick and finished with alittle of Nia's Awareness of the Head.  I had added MUsic to both Manuel's and Jessica's routines.  May post more information about them later and possibly a clip or two or three :)

Right now am on the wrong pc to try and sweating like crazy.
I love freestyling to Manuel as a warmup, doing a bit of what he is doing then doing what I feel like doing with his style.  This morning's routine definitely worked my lower body differently.  Same with Jessica except I follow her more just changing the speed to enjoy the MUsic.  Her routine really worked the core.  Nia's Awareness of the Head has great new music and nice routines.  I am going to try to get permission from Nia to upload their routines to youtube.  They allow embedding and sharing on FaceBook from their online video site.
I have a link for their free online classes to the right -------------->

There's an overlap in the music because I added music to Jessica and Manuel around the same time when I had some new tunes to try.

I am copying and pasting what I posted on VF this morning:
The key to making it *Fun* for me has been the music.
Once you find your own key and unlock that door, it will never shut on you again and workingout will be the highlight of your day.

other keys:
Give yourself permission to have Fun and make it your #1 goal
Do what YOU want to do.
Just keep moving in ways that feel good to YOU.
You do not have to follow an instructor 100% (or even 50%)
Focusing on yourself in a mirror may enable doing your own thing more
Do not do something that *works* for somebody else unless you enjoy it
Avoid anything that creates Dread
Aim for feeling energized, not drained
keep Arnica gel handy for any twinges
Keep a list of moves to avoid which trigger twinges
do not worry about intensity
trust your own mind and body
(and the list goes on and on)

Most importantly if you didn't get enough sleep be kind to your body
Tomorrow is another day

Manuel, Jessica and CS Day2 LOL

This morning I warmed up with 15 minutes of Manuel on the bungee and even picked up my Fitstix.  He is really easy to move with when mindlessly healthbouncing or walking and adding my own MUsic makes him even more fun.  Perfect for warming up.  Thanks to having so many downloads of Manuel from youtube, I pretty much have been able to use just about my whole music library LOL  The one I did this morning had Beatles tunes replacing the audio of this routine:

Then I did 15 minutes of Jessica's High Energy Walk from her Walking dvd but I had added my own MUsic to it, mostly Maroon5 tunes and really enjoyed the routine even more than when playing the dvd.  I did it on and off the bungee, with and without Fitstix.

Then I did the second half of Jessica's Dance Walk youtube workout to which I had also added MUsic.

Finished this morning's workout with some of the CS922 routine.

ETA: I did try to save all of my Jessica downloads onto a single master dvd which I could more easily share with those who wanted a Living Room workout dvd badly but by cramming them all on, it made Jessica sound like she was in an Alvin and the chipmunk cartoon! LOL

Manuel and Jessica and CS

First I want to mention that even though I have burned dvdrs of Jessica's Living Room workouts as a favor for some VFers, I have decided not to do so anymore.  It is too time consuming and uses my laptops resources so extensively that I can do little else with my laptop during the process.  Also there is the expense of blank dvdrs, postage, and packaging as well as stress worrying if the person received the dvdr(s) and can play them satisfactorily.   Folks can try them on youtube, download them from youtube (or my current filemails) to play on their puter and/or even burn them to dvdr if their puter has a dvd burning capability.  For me to charge somebody for my expenses and time at minimum wage, I would have to charge at least $25 per dvdr and the quality is not the greatest.
I prefer to spend my time and resources sharing on youtube and adding MUsic to workouts for my own personal use.

Just buy Jessica's dvds if you can only workout with a dvd!
They offer much better visual and audio quality than her Living Room youtube videos.

I also worry that my freebies may stop people from ordering her dvds:
*Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free, even if the milk is alittle sour*.
So even if my filemail upgrade continues, I do not plan to upload Jessica's living room workouts again.  Besides, she is constantly adding new workouts to youtube so I am not going to try to upload all of her past, present, and future youtube videos to future filemails.
Since the lack of interest in the videos to which I have added MUsic implies I am not interfering with her youtube or dvd income, I will continue to upload them to youtube so I can play them on my HDTV with internet apps because they are my favorite way of moving.

This morning, I warmed up on the bungee with the German instructor Manuel.  However, I have also been replacing his original audio with my own MUsic
His original youtube videos can be found on this Playlist:
Walk with Manuel in German - YouTube

Then I did the Cardio Dance Sculpt  (Jessica's Total Body Balance dvd) and really enjoyed it.  Also did the standing part of Core Stretch.  Finished with CS 920 (?) which was a pretty good routine.
I didn't get my exercise high from my JS with MUsic videos but ran out of time and energy.
Tomorrow is another day.

Manuel Meet Jessica

This morning I warmed up to a workout style I have been sparking to found on youtube by a German instructor named Manuel.  However, I added MUsic to his stuff because I just workout more enjoyably to loud music and his cuing was in German though I could understand much of what he said growing up with grandparents who spoke Yiddish and having German in college.  This morning's routine just had the music played over his music and cuing so I am replacing his audio completely for a better sound effect.  His style is very easy to follow and works well on and off the rebounder just to give the joints some lubrication throughout the day.
The youtube channel with his stuff as well as other instructors:
wellshaped.tv
I am trying to contact them for permission to upload the video files to which I have added MUsic.

After warming up with Manuel, I did the second part of Jessica's Power Walk on the bungee then did the first part of her Living Room Dance Walk to which I had added MUsic before doing some Classica Stretch.

Jessica New DVDs

So yesterday I did the first half of Cardio Flow on the Jessica Smith Total Body Balance dvd as a spark and really enjoyed it.  This morning I did the warmup and High Energy Walk on her walking dvd which was bungee and Fitstix friendly.  Then I did half of her Sole Sculpt on the Balance dvd before alittle CS.  I was really sweating!  Sole Sculpt is especially very sneaky and much more intense than it looked.
The walking workout was much better than any of Leslie Sansone's for me.  Leslie always seems to tighten my hip flexors with repetitive moves.  All of her routines look and sound the same to me. Unlike Lays potato chips, I only need one.

However, as much as I liked Jessica's walk for its combination of moves and scenery  I have to admit I enjoy the Living Room walking videos to which I added MUsic even more. I just need the MUsic to feel the full joy of muving.

Jessica's dvds can be bought directly from her Amazon store, Collagevideo, TotalFitnessdvds. etc.
There are samples of them on her blog and on the vendor sites as well as my youtube channel sample playlist.

ETA: I have really been enjoying walking with Manuel when I want to just get up and move without much thinking:
