Sister Fitness Retro Routine

This video is no longer available on Vimeo.

No exaggeration.
This may have been one of the best routines online and would have made an excellent workout dvd.
I did the first 30 minutes of this routine this morning (Saturday 9/28)
and lurved it.  Great music and great moves and easy to tweak.
Each song has its own combination of moves.
The moves for each song are done enough to enjoy them without getting too repetitive.
Did the first 15 minutes on the bungee then the standing abs and kickboxing on the puzzle mats then from 23 minutes on the stability ball and last but nor least, the upper body with Fitstix.
I'll try to start at the 30 minute mark another day soon.
The second part of my workout session this morning were Nia clips.

I was very upset because I couldn't find my Classical Stretch videos for Season 9 but the stuff this morning was so much better, I am not going to bother recording them again.  Probably would never do them anyways and have plenty of CS from previous seasons which I may never do again either LOL

ETA: Of course after totally giving up, I found the dvdr I burned of Classical Stretch Season 9!

ETA: I love the Sister Fitness style so much that I have subscribed to their VIP membership

Still Loving Music

This morning I warmed up on the bungee to the third Jessica Smith Sunset Walk with music by Queen then did her 10 minute Toning Walk with Broadway music while holding homemade XCO trtainers.  Next did some youtube clips by Kit holding Zumba Stix. Finished with some CS.

Kit's Zumba routines can be found at
http://www.youtube.com/user/fair2u2

I really liked this one:

Update

BAK from another successful AC trip. We seem to be losing less often and actually winning enough to cover gas and toll expenses lately, thanks to bonus downloads, comped food and of course, good luck.

Last evening I came down with some sort of a mild stomach bug but still warmed up on the bungee with Caitlin and did most of CS 715 and 716 this morning.
I particularly liked this one from Caitlin:

Sculpt Tonic

This morning I warmed up with Caitlin on the bungee then did the first two blocks from Sculpt Tonic Image while holding Fitstix and thoroughly enjoyed the revisit. Finished with some of CS711 and 712. Doing CS and avoiding the moves which trigger my hip problem seems to be helping. I noticed way less hip pain in bed last night. I do have intense butt DOMS from Jessica Smith's Cardio Mat Fusion standing segments which I did as 2 sparks yesterday.

Again I was sweating profusely after CS?!?
Yeah it is humid here but nothing else drenched me as much.
It is a very sneaky style.

I should mention last evening I didn't sleep too well because of a mosquito sighting in my bedroom even though the critter didn't buzz in my ear or get another bite because I had a fan blowing on me. I did get a mean bite the day before but didn't see the critter till last night.

Wonderful Youtube Clips!

This morning I warmed up with Caitlin on the bungee then did a wonderful XCO routine but used my lighter Fitstix. Had to do some tweaking to work both side more equally. Finished with some CS 708 and 709.

Facebook, Forums and Nuts

There are alot of Nuts online.
People who are online to create havoc because of some sort of mental problem: Cyberstalkers, trolls, bullies, etc.
There is no real way of knowing if any of these nuts may cross the line and become a physical threat in real life to their target.
An information travel forum made me more aware than ever that these nuts breed and thrive on the internet and unite with one another creating a Mob Mentality, treating other people disrespectfully like those kids did to their bus aide.
Online, it is mostly childish Sticks and Stones but Cyber stalkers and bullies have sometimes crossed that line.
Being naive, I had used Facebook to sign onto other forums and recently realized what a huge mistake that was. It made my face, name and location exposed to a couple of these nuts!

I try to ignore and avoid these toxic personalities but they truly are everywhere and there is no telling how far any of them will go to feel powerful.

ETA: Anywho this morning I danced with Caitlin and finished Dance Aerobics on the bungee then did most of CS 707 and some 708 till I got distracted and started to search for some missing CS episodes which I eventually found. LOL

This routine was great for standing abs!

ETA:
We just went out to dinner to a marvelous Japanese buffet to celebrate DH's birthday. I bit into a piece of lobster and a piece of shell got caught in the space between my last two upper teeth. Not only was it uncomfortable but it threw my whole bite off. After trying unsuccessfully to pry it out with dental floss and toothpicks, I had some green tea ice cream which actually contracted the teeth just enough to pry the thing out. It was teeny tiny sliver the size of a comma. Couldn't believe such a tiny piece could cause such discomfort!
Anyway, all is well and thanks to the incident we avoided over-eating badly.

I am sooo thankful DH's dinner wasn't completely ruined and I didn't have to find a dentist in the middle of a holiday weekend.

Loving Caitlin

This morning I warmed up on the bungee with Caitlin youtube clips then did most of CS 705 and some of 706.

LURVED this particular clip!

Nia's Awareness of Knees

This morning I warmed up on the bungee with youtube clips from Caitlin/bostonathleticclub then did most of Nia's Awareness of Knees.
Links to these are in recent posts.

I didn't sleep well because of aches and pains. Last evening for the second week in a row, my right inner thigh spasmed during True Blood at almost exactly the same time as last week! I did do some different movements as sparks yesterday since we bought a pedal device at Aldis so was cycling my legs then my arms in both directions while watching tv just before True Blood.

Anywho, the workouts I did kept me moving. I really enjoyed much of the movement in both routines in spite of feeling sleep deprived and twingey.

Boston Athletic Club (Caitlin)

Warmed up on the bungee to some really good clips which I will embed below.
Then I did Circuit 2 from Fierce Force tweaking the down on the floor stuff.
Then I finished Grace and Gusto's standing stuff and did some CS426.

The video clips are uploaded by bostonatleticclub at

Nice combo again

This morning I warmed up on the bungee to some youtube clips then did the first half of Grace&Gusto but using the FIOS VOD on Exercise Sportskool instead of the dvd so I could do it in our den with fresh air coming in.

Filemail

When I post a filemail link to videos, that link can be shared with friends. Sometimes I send the filemail link directly to a person or even everyone in my filemail address book. These links can also be shared privately with other people who may like them.
Even if somebody already has the video, they may want it on their hard drive or may want to put it on another device.

There are other uses for filemail besides sharing videos. For example my old pc has a floppy drive but new laptop doesn't. I can filemail a program that is on a floppy drive from my old pc so I can download it on to my laptop.
filemail can be sent from anyone at
www.filemail.com
For occasional users, there is a 2gig, 30 downloads and 3 day limit.
Since I have mentioned filemail.com on my blog, I was upgraded for free for one year to 10 gigs, 100 downloads (actually 200 if I use more than 2 files to create a zip file option) and 30 days. I will really miss this upgrade when the free period is over!

Anywho this morning I warmed up with Caitlin on the bungee. Her videos are really good because of the music and simple moves to follow. Then I did some XCO workouts I found on youtube but used my Fitstix. Really enjoyed that and sweated! Then I did the standing Pilates routine by Denise Austin which I found on youtube. Very nice routine similar to Ellen Barrett stuff. My hip/knee thing did start to twinge but a front flexor stretch nipped it in the bud.

Finally some hip release

This morning I warmed up on the bungee to some ReFitRev and Zumba with Caitlin. Zumba with Caitlin videos can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/bostonathleticclub/videos
Then I did Katami Abs but with the blue heavier bar.
Then I did some Zumba Toning Sticks routines on youtube but used my Fitstix instead.
Finished with some of the roller stretch on Cardio Dance Flow with Trudie Styler which really seemed to help my hip!

ETA: so far my hip and knee have had much reduced twinging since my workout so I am hopeful this episode is finally healing

New and Better Day

Slept really well last night with Melatonin. Only had one painful back area I couldn't reach with Arnica gel but DH rubbed it on for me this morning and the pain has been gone since. So my only chronic problem right now is my right knee and its main hindrance is rebounding. There is some connection to the hip because when the hip feels good the knee feels funkier. When the knee feels more normal, the hip is knotted.

This morning I warmed up to some great GRDance clips which I may post later. Did just one song on the bungee but my knee preferred the floor. Very glad I didn't cave and buy an expensive Bellicon! Then I did the standing Impact Katami and sweated bullets. Next I started revisiting Misty's *Stong* and wondering the whole time how the heck I have ignored this wonderful dvd for so long. Think I only have done it twice after first getting it. I will see if I can upload a clip or two later. Its one drawback is it was pricey for a dvdr purplish/bluish back. Maybe Misty has since released it with a pressed silver backed dvd.

Chiball Essentials, Batuka and A New You Ballet

Unfortunately my right mid back muscle decided to twinge intensely again, somehow re-injuring it when sleeping!
My knee is still improving. This morning I found I could do a stiff legged healthbounce pain free on the bungee which is better than no bouncing at all.
Anywho, I worked the lower body with *A New You*'s muscle conditioning and ballet workouts. The ballet workout was very similar to Ellen's stuff but not as intense. Then I did alittle Batuka and found a great looking martial arts routine that I hope to revisit when feeling better. Will give more info about that later.
Then I finished with the first two chapters of Chiball Essentials and thoroughly enjoyed it! When I first got Chiball Essentials and Dance of the Dragon, I didn't like them as much as the vhs routines led by Monica because not nearly as intense. However, this morning Essentials TaiChi/Qigong and Radiant Yang were perfect. The first chapter started very gentle then alternated movements done slowly and faster in the second chapter. They really lubricated my joints and made me feel so much better. Also felt totally energized afterwards.
So if you can only buy just one of the new dvds, I highly recommend Chiball Essentials!

Batuka and Pain Grade

This morning I warmed up on the bungee with some Hip Hop Walk then some Batuka videos. Finished the workout with some more Zumba toning and newest Kareenu uploads. Though I prefer the Hip Hop music in other Zumba-like videos, this Batuka all Spanish version had a surprisingly good Tai Chi video which I am sharing below.

Also am sharing another Batuka I found worth revisiting:

Also here's a Batuka similar to Body Combat:

ETA:
I decided to grade my pain problems daily here where I can track them to try to figure out what is going on.
This morning both knees hurt mildly as well as left arm before workingout.
All hurt somewhat less after workingout.
Last night all were horrible.

Just went for a walk using walking sticks and think it did make the walking easier on the knees while more intense for everything else.

Oh dear, just missed the last step walking down the stairs and now my right knee is a real mess. Cannot bend it at all. Arnica gel is relieving most of the pain when straight but forget about bending it. Well either I will now need knee surgery or the new injury will heal and hopefully, heal the previous problem along with it. Time will tell.

Zumba online

There is an available filemail expiring in a few days (6/25) which I finally tried everything on and think it may be the best dvdr I have burned. Only problem was Freemake Video Converter crashed trying to burn this one so I used Windows DVD Maker.
If nothing else, download the Zumba Stix files! Fabulous AWT.
After warming up with some Hip Hop Walk on the bungee, I did all of the Zumba Stix and Dance files and lurved all of it! Really got me muving and feeling great.
Finished my workout from another dvdr which included Nia routines by Holly. That filemail unfortunately is no longer available.

Description:
Here's a bunch of songs done on a beach, a few other dance routines, and some routines with Zumba stix. Ends with the newest Nia Awareness of Feet.
Janette's Beach videos come from user vjz29 http://www.youtube.com/user/vjz29/videos
TheDance videos come from user FoodieBelle242 http://www.youtube.com/user/FoodieBelle242/videos
The Zumba Toning stix comes from various youtube users including http://www.youtube.com/user/fair2u2/videos (Kit-fair2u2) (one will lead you to another when searching for Zumba Toning)
Nia's Awareness of Feet is located at
http://www.nianow.com/story/2012/05/nia-class-video-awareness-of-feet

I recommend downloading any of the above either through my filemail or directly from youtube if there are others you like that I didn't include because the youtube videos could disappear anyday as most videos did for one of my favorite instructors recently (Kareenu).

Pain Rant

I have been having increasing joint pain and am getting a bit frustrated. On our last AC trip, I started envying the people in scooters but know that will just make my joint pain worse because they hurt the most after inactivity.

Here I was, getting ready for battle with the intention of muving more than usual this morning, applying Arnica gel to the feet, ankles, knees and hips but during the process pulled a back muscle! So Arnica went on the back muscle and I popped a Tylenol and will still be attempting to muve soon. :::Fingers Crossed:::

ETA:
OK I worked out.
Warmed up on the bungee to some youtube which got me in the mood to muve then did some of Amy Bento's Hip Hop Walk on the bungee. Really like this workout cuz simple to follow and can be tweaked for more intensity. Then I did some roller and ball pressure release around my knee and back which helped my knee quite a bit so I could do the cardio on the third Surfer Girl dvd while holding a smartbell. Finished with some of Nia's Awareness of Feet which had some really neat moves in it, especially hot feet with toes inward and outward.

Here's the video I did during my warmup:

Washout :(

This morning, I caulked in our bathroom till I felt sweaty then started a laundry and cleaned our basement toilet. Then I warmed up on the bungee to ReFitRev, really liking one of the tunes alot and started to do some Ellen Barrett but stopped because feeling nauseous which has never happened before. Feel better now after eating breakfast and will go on a walk soon and hopefully resume my workout later.

Here's the routine I really liked to Carrie Underwood's *Undo It*:

Still Loving ReFitRev

This morning I warmed up on the bungee to the RevFitRev file I called
*Purples Tonight NT Firestarter Embute HisGlory.wmv*
on the filemail link
https://www.filemail.com/dl.aspx?id=QYGYUOPCITXTCFA
which expires 6/4.
Will try to embed the files below later today.
Then I did Grace & Gusto starting with the chair chapter up to the Giddyups.
Then I did about half of *House Your Body* from Rockin Body with Fitstix.

Tonight:

Firestarter:

His Glory:

Note: If you have RealPlayer, you can download these videos and other videos right from my blog (or youtube) onto your hard drive. Then you can use Freemake Video Converter to burn the flv files to dvdr if you have a Windows PC.
Or you can use Freemake Video Converter to download them by right clicking the mouse on the video and choosing to copy the url then pasting the url onto Freemake. You can save the files in whatever format you want on your hard drive, etc. or burn them directly to dvdr with Freemake Video Converter. Best have a good hour or two of videos ready to burn before burning if you do not want to use too many blank dvdrs. Freemake Video Converter is much easier to use and faster than Windows DVD Maker. If using Windows DVD Maker you have to have the files converted to a format accepted by Windows DVD Maker like wmv, mpeg, etc. if you want the dvdr to play on most dvd players. Either RealPlayer or Freemake Video Converter can do the conversions. Occasionally, I still have to settle for Windows DVD Maker when Freemake crashes.

Zumba online and Filemail

Just got back from 3 nights at The Borgata and actually did a spark on the bungee, one of the ReFitRev routines I had fused.
ReFitRev has had alot of new subscribers to their youtube channel.
Also kareenu uploaded a bunch of new videos so I am hopeful more videos are coming from both youtube users.
