August

It is amazing how much my feeling of well-being has improved after the second cataract surgery.  Now I can see everything without glasses except very fine print like expiration dates on food products and a cute pair of folding reading glasses inherited from my mother-in-law has solved that problem.  No more fogging of glasses when wearing a mask or sweating.  Covid delayed my eye doctor appointments which was a blessing in disguise since the last IOL I received was not even available before 2019.

I like to do just 30 minutes of a workout each morning and then a couple of quickies throughout the day.  ZDancerLiz youtube videos are perfect for this because I can easily pause and resume with the ROKU youtube app so I decided to continue the monthly sub for her ad free youtube vids.  However, I have dozens of edited music only workout files calling my name which play great on ROKU using the Web Video Caster so my DancerLiz days are numbered.

Speaking of youtube, Youtube has great free workout videos like this Nia Dance with Cari Meltzer:

Walking Online Workouts (WOW) has not added a new video in a long time but recently added one and has another coming.

Our basement has recovered from the old water heater leak with no lingering odor. Hopefully, our bank accounts will recover because it has been a very expensive year.

I am sleeping better since getting a weighted blanket and compression socks.
I found these socks reasonably priced on Amazon and they arrived sooner than expected:
Black

White

Both washed well.

I made the mistake of joining a Facebook group for PN (peripheral neuropathy), not realizing how many had my same pain and cramping symptoms.
Way too many posts and way too overwhelming..
However, it made me very aware of two things:
most are suffering more than me
and
focusing on my pain just gives the pain more power over my life.

so I will distract myself with other things as I have been like exercise and streaming content
and stop looking for a cure because there is no cure.

Not needing glasses anymore made me a bit self-conscious of the bags and circles under my eyes previously hidden by glasses.  I did notice smiling hid them well too so will try to smile more.

So my focus is to smile more and not focus on pain.
