PF (Checkin to follow later)

So I kept moving my feet on my glider throughout the day yesterday which felt like walking on gravel, soaked in a special Epsom salts for the feet and took a night-time Advil.   The results were miraculously.  Went from the worse pain I have had yesterday morning to hardly feeling a twinge this morning.  The swelling is completely gone and now my foot is way too sensitive to stand on the glider for more than a few seconds.
Pain went from a 10 to a zero.

(Will be back later to share my check-in)

This morning I warmed up on and off the bungee with some Mojo Fitness which can be found on youtube:
Cindy Brauer - YouTube

Then I did the Kettlebell Kickboxing Scorcher routine to which I had added MUsic and lurved it.  Perfect amount of reps alternating kettlbell moves and kickboxing.  I did most of the punching/jacks on the bungee and tweaked the burpees.
Here's a sample on youtube:

Finished with more of Nia's Elbow but most of it while sitting on a stability ball.

Plantar Fasciitis

So I have become a guinea pig to determine what may help or may hurt my Plantar Fasciitis.

After seeing a cool looking workout toy which was a combined step and stepper on clearance at QVC, I tried my air-stepper just for a few seconds.  BIG mistake.  My problem went from very tolerable to quite intolerable as a result.  Actually felt the pain right up to the back of the knee! Yikes.
Our older son may be moving home for awhile till he can find employment after returning to the US from the UK.  To make room for his stuff, we were considering moving a huge glider from our living room corner outdoors.  For the heck of it, I stepped onto it to see how it would affect my foot.  That baby is staying inside because its foot padding feels like gravel on bare feet and walking on gravel is supposedly the best way of preventing and treating PF.  I will be using it a few minutes every time I enter our living room.

This morning I did some of Tracie Long's Longevity routines to which I had added MUsic.  I really enjoyed most of the combinations and tweaked the others.  I liked her simple but effective gliding disk stuff and substituted a heavier Zumba stick for her ball moves.  Some of the cardio was done on the bungee.  Quite honestly Tracie Long's voice never clicked for me so replacing the audio with *MUsic only* really worked for me.

Finished with alittle of Nia's Elbow routine.
Tracie worked the whole body nicely, mostly with a lower body focus.
Nia focused on the upper body so they were a good combination.

Nia Awareness of the Elbow

This latest Nia class for the Elbow can be found on vimeo at
Helen Terry Passion Routine focusing on the Elbow on Vimeo

Also here is a nice short routine on vimeo:
"FREE (feat. Shannon Day)" - Honoring ONE BILLION RISING (Choreography) on Vimeo

BB/walkblaster, XCO, Leslie Belt

This morning I started with a Bodyburner Combat routine to which I had added MUsic.
However, I did it on my bungee because I leave the BodyBurner tilted.  I started wearing shoes then removed them to see which way my plantar fasciitis preferred.  It seemed both styles didn't aggravate it.  I wanted to also test it to see how it liked the tilted Bodyburner, which it did.  I knew better than try it standing downhill because it would stretch the sole in the wrong direction and possible make the problem worse.

Then I did some of a Leslie Walkblaster on the tilted BodyBurner.  Toe taps became lunges for me.
Yogflex and Body Burners are hard to find nowadays. I loved my Yogflex which was larger and more flexible till the straps frayed so I had to toss it

Then I did 2 XCO routines with the heavier Zumba stix.
Here's the first XCO routine:

Second XCO routine:

Finished with some of a Leslie walk wearing her belt to which I had added MUsic but did it while sitting on a stability ball.  So this morning I bounced on the bungee then used the tilted BodyBurner, purple Zumba Stix, stability ball and Walking belt.
Yesterday was the first day I skipped lying on the Sacro-wedgy.  However, I will lie on it today because I had a slight twinge when workingout.  Plantar Fasciitis feels much better so far today.

Jari, Dirty Dancing, Kit, Tracie

First I tried some of Jari's Cardio Dance but the music didn't click for me and the moves felt rushed.  Then I tried Dirty Dancing uploaded by BeFit on youtube.  I liked some of the moves but mostly freestyled to the great MUsic:

Then I did some of a toning routine with Kit which I liked alot and even could tweak to sitting on a stability ball:

BUT what really got me MUving was a routine by Tracie Long (Longevity Leaning Out) to which I had added MUsic.  I loved her moves, loved the MUsic and loved how it all felt.  She offered the perfect amounts of reps to me so I could get into the moves but not become bored with them.
This combination was fabulous to me.

KBKB and Jess

This morning I did the Kettlebell Kickboxing Longevity routine found on Daily Motion.  The female instructor reminded me alot of Tony Horton!  I will be adding my own MUsic to the routine because it was very do-able with just alittle tweaking.  Mostly compound moves for cardio but had some bouncing for the bungee as well.  Mostly Kettlebell stationary moves alternating with alittle bouncing seem not to aggravate my plantar fasciitis while still producing lots of sweat.
Finished with Jessica's new abs using a chair routine which will be great to use in my bedroom as a laptop break so will be adding MUsic to that as well :)

JS, Dakidissa, Ryan and Brandi

This morning I did the standing part of Jessica's *How to get rid of Saddlebags* routine to which I had added perfect MUsic :)

Then I did a standing ab dumb bell routine with my heavier Zumba Stix led by Dakissa.
Love the moves but may replace the audio on this one:

Then I did a great kettlebell routine with Ryan on a beach bouncing lightly inbetween each move:

Finished with some Yodates Cardio while sitting on a stability ball.
Didn't do much higher impact cardio on the bungee because my heel seemed worse last night than the night before so did more stationary type moves today.

Bellicon, FemFusion and Nia

My heel is 50% better today!

This morning I did some of the Bellicon Kickbox routine, Fem Fusion Sculpt and Nia's Awareness of Feet.  Also did alittle bit of gliding disks.

Plantar Fasciitis

I was so focused on improving my hip/low back problem with the Sacro Wedgy that I ignored increasing occurrences of twinging in my heel and two consecutive nights of a calf cramp during the middle of the night.  Then I just wore the wrong shoe without an insert on a long walk yesterday and my heel started to really whine.  It was especially painful during my nocturnal bathroom visits last night.  Quite obviously my heel is inflamed and I have developed severe case of plantar fasciitis.
So this morning, I did most of my workout sitting on the stability ball and did 3 routines with Dakidissa and some Nia Awareness of the Feet. I had been using the stability ball less because my hip was so much better.  After my heel recovers, I will use the bungee more because I noticed it bothers me less on the bungee than the floor.  Also am sticking with going barefoot or using the Platinum Walkfit inserts with the pair I last used in AC when leaving the house.  My more frequent outdoor walks experimenting with various shoes and inserts had backfired.
I will stretch my calves and feet religiously especially before and after bedtime, walks and workouts.

Dakidissa and Jess

This morning I did a Dakidissa routine which worked the core aerobically:

then did Jessica's new Hotel routines.  Even though she did improve the audio a bit by having the sound now come out of my right speaker, it was still not motivating MUsic for me so will be replacing the audio.  The plank moves were easy to tweak to upright versions on the bungee.
Here's the cardio routine:

Finished with more Dakidissa on the bungee and stability ball:

I am liking her cardio routines with unique moves and MUsic only that I made a playlist!
Dakidissa - YouTube

I may eventually replace the music on my favorites once I have tried them all.

Jess and FemFusion

This morning I did the second half of the Jessica's Power Walk with African drums then did the first half again but with Oldies.  Used the bungee, Fitstix and stability ball.
Then I did the second half of the upright routines on FemFusion Lift & Firm from Vimeo.  I really like their style and tweaking of old moves to make them feel different!

Monday, June 17, 2013

Dakidissa, FemFusion, Andrea Palen and Jessica

Here's what I did this morning.
First Dakidissa's Jumping Jacks routine with a nice variety of jumping jacks for the bungee and/or stability ball plus decent MUsic :)

Then the first upright 13 minutes of FemFusion Express even though I already had butt DOMS from yesterday.  Really love these FemFusion Vimeo routines!
Nice move combinations plus MUsic :)

Then a short but tough weightless arm routine by Andrea Palen to which I had added MUsic from Kinky Boots but here is her original routine on youtube:

Finished with some of Jessica's Power Walk to which I had added African MUsic while holding Fitstix on the bungee.  FemFusion made me want to move more with African drums.  Also did alot of biceps with my heavier Zumba Stix.

Manuel and FemFusion

This morning I did Manuel's ski22 to which I had added MUsic from Kinky boots then Fem Fusion's routine for digestion which also had MUsic added from Kinky Boots because the original had no music.  Then I did Fem Fusion's Lift and Firm which had great music including a tune I have added to some videos.  It feels similar to Bellyfit but without the repetitive choreo.

Manuel's routine on youtube:

Some New Sites

I just found a couple of new sites with interesting looking uploads.

One is Dakidissa uploaded videos on youtube which are to MUsic only:
http://www.youtube.com/user/Dakidissa/videos

The other is FemFusion on vimeo:
FemFusion Fitness’s Videos on Vimeo

Dakidissa looks very bungee/rebounder compatible.
FemFusion looks like a feel good dance fusion.

Also the Nia blog seems to be working better for me again.
Nia Blog| A sensory-based movement practice that leads to health, wellness and fitness
Either they fixed it or a recent flash update fixed it.
So I will keep checking for their latest class Awareness of Elbow to be posted.

Last but not least, search on Daily Motion for 791123eka
She was previously known on youtube as Ekaterina E

Shape, Mary Kay and Jess

This morning I did some of the Shape Redefining workout to which I had added MUsic from the current Tony winner *Kinky Boots*.   Then I did some of the walk with Mary Kay to which I had added MUsic and finished with some of Jessica's Tank Top Arms to which I had added more Kinky Boots tunes.

All workouts were found online as well as all tunes.

Amy Dixon Ultimate Fatburn

This morning I did

Women's Health Ultimate Fat Burn

with Amy Dixon

to which I had added MUsic but left the cuing.
I used the bungee, Fitstix and ended with the stability ball.
I like the moves so much that I am redoing the audio without the cuing.

JS, DA, and Manuel

This morning I started with a Jessica Smith to which I had added MUsic then did a Denise Austin to which I had added MUsic and finished with a German Manuel to which I had added MUsic and enjoyed them all.  All clips were found online as well as all MUsic. Used the bungee, stability ball, heavier Zumba stix, and Sacro Wedgy.

Leslie My Way LOL

This morning I did a couple of Leslie Sansone routines on the bungee using her belt to which I had added MUsic.  I was freestyling to the great music more than following her same old moves and really enjoyed it and worked up quite a sweat while using the whole body.  Then I did some of the upright segment of Jessica's Build a Better Booty band routine but without a band.
Finished with lying on the Sacro Wedgy.

YogFlex, Winsor Bootcamp, Xtend Barre

This morning I warmed up on the bungee to a John Abdo YogFlex routine to which I had added MUsic.  Then I did some of Mari Winsor's Bootcamp Pilates from Gaiam TV while holding Fitstix  then some Xtend Barre before lying on the Sacro Wedgy.  I liked the moves in Winsor's Bootcamp but they felt a bit rushed.  Xtend Barre warmup was very intense to me and the upper body which I did without weights definitely felt different.

I have gotten lazy about sharing clips on my blog but since nobody seems to miss them, it does make loading my blog much faster so will probably not bother to add much anymore.

Wendy Ida, Karen, Nia, Sacro Wedgy

This morning I warmed up trying to unsuccessfully unclog our bath tub drain.Cannot imagine doing that warmup before the Sacro Wedgy!

Next I did the first level from Wendy Ida's set to which I had added MUsic then did some more of Fitstix Praise to which I had added MUsic then did the rest of Nia's Awareness of the Thighbones and finished with lying across the bungee on the Sacro Wedgy with my feet propped on the Firm Fanny lifter.

Sacro Wedgy, Jess, Jane and Jill

WOW another morning with no back/hip pain upon getting out of bed.  I am also sleeping much better not having trouble getting comfortable and staying comfortable in bed.  This morning I did the Sacro Wedgy treatment soon after rising to keep the area loose for my workout.  I am doing it without the pad because it is much more comfortable and seemingly effective for me.

This morning I started with Jessica Smith's Bikini Body Circuit which had horrible audio which was totally unmotivating for me then did her Tank Top Arms which I really liked.  Next I did a Jane Fonda Latin Dance to which I had added MUsic on the bungee and finished with Jill Miller's Knee Rehab1 to keep my knees stronger.  Found it much easier to do with looser hips.

Wednesday, June 5, 2013

Keli, Jess, FS, Sacro Wedgy

This morning I did some of another URX workout with Keli Roberts.  This one started out better than the others but went downhill quickly using the rebounder more like a step.  I feel sorry for anyone who bought this series at full price.

Then I did some of Jessica's Bikini Body Circuit to which I had added MUsic.
Then did alittle more of Fitstix Praise to which I had added MUsic.
Finished with a Sacro Wedgy treatment.
This morning I got out of bed pain free!

RS, LS, Nia and Sacro Wedgy®

This morning I warmed up to some of Richard Simmons 80's Blast-Off on the bungee then did Leslie Sansone's Blue Mile with MUsic added using my Fitstix, bungee and stability ball.
Next did more of Nia's Awareness of Thighbones and finished with lying on my new  Sacro Wedgy®  for the third time. Yesterday after its delivery, I tried using it 2 times and felt a release but not the more complete release I felt this morning.   Each time it got somewhat more comfortable to use but doubt it will ever be fully comfortable because my right leg is longer than my left so my pelvic girdle will always be unbalanced.   All knee twinges are gone!

Doonya Special

Not sure how long this code will work to make the Doonyas half price:

Jess, Tai Cheng, Joey, URX

This morning I did the standing part of Jessica's new youtube 30 minute HIIT workout, mostly on the bungee.  Then I did some routines found on Daily Motion:
Tai Cheng
Joey Bull
and finished with some Keli URX to which I added MUsic while sitting on a stability ball.

URX and Nia

This morning I did most of Greg Sims second URX workout, skipping the opening pushups.  In spite of many of the lame stuff going on like Gay Gasper arriving and interrupting the workout, I liked most of the moves and music!

Then I did more of Nia's Awareness of the thighbones and am very excited that this month's focus will be the elbows.

Also did alittle Power Walking with Jessica to which I had added music using my TV internet app.
Then got down and dirty replacing screws on the legs of a table to make it sturdier.  This table holds our den PC and was getting very wobbly but I needed to be warmed up to get into the crazy positions I had to get into to do the screwing.

MUving to MUsic

Here's an article discussing how music can be an essential movement motivator:
