Pink Screen from DVD Player

This morning I warmed up with the second chapter of the 10 Minute Solution Carb Burner on the bungee then did the Biggest Loser Power Walk 4th walk with the medball but substituted a heavy Zumba stick.  Then I did some of miles one and most of four with the boost cables on the Leslie 4 Super Miles.  Finished with Classical Stretch.

Our $3 component cable had arrived from Amazon so I finally replaced the yellow video composite cable with the green, blue, and red video component cable between our dvd player and HDTV which is officially one year old.   At first, the screen was pink but was easily fixed by toggling a v-mode button on the dvd player's remote.  Just wanted to mention that in case anyone else has a similar problem.  Lots of people automatically blame the cheaper component cables or incorrect cable connections.

The one and only time we tried to watch a dvd on the HDTV previously, we used my laptop to play and stream the dvd being so disappointed in the video quality from the dvd player.  Since we have the premium movie package through FIOS, we didn't really use the new TV for dvd movies and son had his XBox360 using the component input ports.  At some point, we switched his XBox to a HDMI connection but I just forgot all about getting component wires for the dvd player till it was discussed on VF.  Still have a really good HDMI wire attached for the laptop or future new den tv through a third HDTV port.  Do not need a Roku or Bluray player for youtube, etc because the TV has its own internet apps.  We have been very happy with this Vizio.  I see a year later we could have gotten a similar Vizio Smart TV at the same price but LED instead of LCD.   Next den TV will definitely be LED.
